Guide ยท Interviews
How to prepare for your interview with a European employer.
Employers select the people who clearly show relevant, provable experience โ and can explain it in English. Here is how to be that person.
๐จ Nobody will ask you money to get interview โ read the scam warning โ1. Re-read the requirements
Every job post lists what the employer needs. Before the interview, go through each requirement and think about how your experience matches it. You will be asked about exactly these points.
2. Prepare your English self-introduction โ and practice it out loud
European employers interview in English. Prepare 60โ90 seconds you can deliver confidently: your name, your trade, which machines and equipment you operate, which materials you work with, the processes you know, how many years of experience, where you worked. Specific beats general: "I run MIG/MAG on 6โ12 mm mild steel for structural frames" is worth ten times "I'm a welder".
3. Explain why you fit
Connect your experience to the requirements one by one. If the post asks for TIG on stainless and you have three years of it โ say exactly that, with examples.
4. Bring proof
Photos and videos of your current work are the strongest evidence you have. A welder showing his welds, a carpenter showing his builds, a driver showing his truck and routes. Prepare them on your phone before the day.
5. Documents
A valid passport for everyone. If you have certificates โ TESDA/NCII, trade certs, employer certificates โ definitely bring them.
